Although the V5 is designed for beginners, the ECOS operating system also allows it to offer advanced functions. It can store up to 32 models in its memory, for which you can define up to 8 flight modes with freely assignable mixes, logical switches and curve adjustments. For controlling flight modes and individual channel functions, two 2-position switches, one 3-position switch, and a rotary knob are available.

The radio operates on ACCESS or ACCST D16 transmission systems, allowing pairing with a wide range of compatible receivers with up to 24 channels. It features full telemetry support and redundant connectivity for up to 3 receivers. In 8-channel mode (when using digital servos), Racing Mode can be activated to reduce transmission latency to as little as 4 ms.

The proportions of the V5 are based on the proven ergonomics of our other transmitters. The grip surface is large and textured for a firm hold. The gimbals are positioned towards the edges of the radio, making them easy to operate for both thumb and tray configurations. Furthermore, spring tension and ratcheting can be adjusted to allow for mode changes. The weight, including the battery, is just under 610 grams.

The 2.15" monochrome LCD shows exactly what you need. It allows adjusting the backlight intensity and contrast, and includes a power-saving mode with a timeout. Thanks to this, the information on the display is perfectly legible both in direct sunlight and at dusk.

Outdated sockets are a thing of the past, so the V5 uses USB-C to support both charging with a built-in 2S balancer and connection to an RC simulator. The trainer mode functions via a 3.5mm stereo jack.

The V5 comes with the KAVAN R6L 6-channel receiver.

The KAVAN V5 is an entry-level 24-channel RC set using a 2.4GHz transmission system ACCESS or ACCST with full telemetry support. It boasts a superior response time of up to 4ms and a range of up to tens of kilometres. The operating system is the all-new, lightweight and streamlined ECOS, which simplifies the operation, settings and learning curve. V5 can be paired with a wide range of KAVAN or FrSky receivers, telemetry or not, with classic PWM and serial outputs.

The V5 is a compact, lightweight, and portable radio. It is suitable for controlling a wide variety of aeroplanes as well as heli/multicopters. It can also be easily configured for boats or land models. This is enabled by a range of functions and mixes available in the ECOS operating system.

For control, it is equipped with a pair of precise gimbals with potentiometers. Additional functions are controlled via 1 three-position switch, 2 two-position switches, 1 rotary knob, 4 navigation buttons, and 4 digital trims. The layout of the controls and the body ergonomics are based on the proven and extensively tested design of the V20 and V15 transmitters.

The transmitter body is robust and fits perfectly in the hand. Textured grips on the sides and rear of the body provide a firm, comfortable, and secure hold, with all controls within easy reach. Of course, the strength of the centring springs and ratcheting can be adjusted to fine-tune the mode and response according to personal preferences.

The built-in flash memory can store up to 32 models. A USB-C connector is used to access the memory and also serves for charging. Charging of the 2S Li-ion 2600 mAh battery is handled by a built-in balancer.
